About ClearGuide Tech
We built ClearGuide because getting reliable tech help shouldn't be this hard, especially for people who just want a straight answer.
Why we started ClearGuide
Most people who need tech help don't know where to turn. A quick internet search gives you paid ads and forum threads. Calling a big tech company means long hold times and inconsistent answers. Asking a family member feels like a burden.
Older adults are hit especially hard. They're more likely to be targeted by tech scams, less likely to know who to trust, and more likely to feel embarrassed asking for help. None of that is fair.
ClearGuide exists to fill that gap. We're not a tech company. We're a referral service. Our job is to connect you with a real, vetted, accountable professional who can actually help.
What ClearGuide is and isn't
We are a matching and referral service
- We connect you with vetted tech support professionals
- We review every provider before listing them
- We focus on older adults and non-technical users
- We write helpful guides and alerts to keep you informed
We are not a tech support provider
- We don't provide remote access or direct tech support
- We don't employ the tech professionals we refer
- We don't charge for the referral itself
- We don't guarantee outcomes, but we stand by our vetting
What guides how we work
Clarity over cleverness
We write and speak in everyday language. If you have to look something up to understand our explanation, we haven't done our job.
Trust is earned, not assumed
Every provider in our network is reviewed before they're listed. We don't take that responsibility lightly.
Your pace, not ours
Tech help should happen on your terms. Slow down, ask questions, take notes. There's no rush.
No pressure, ever
We'll never use fear or urgency to push you toward a decision. If something doesn't feel right, you can always step back.
Have a tech problem right now?
Describe what's going on and we'll connect you with someone who can help. No jargon, no pressure.
